Western Qld Flooding: Exclusion Fencing Recovery Grants

Helping Grazing Enterprises Rebuild Stronger

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), the grant supports Western Queensland grazing enterprises impacted by flooding.

RAPAD region

These grants support the repair and reconstruction of exclusion and cluster fencing infrastructure impacted by flooding. The program is delivered across all RAPAD local government areas: Barcaldine, Barcoo, Blackall-Tambo, Boulia, Diamantina, Longreach, Winton.

Any amount of damage, including completed work and works underway, may be eligible for funding assistance with support of up to $500,000 available. Expression of Interests (EOI) close 30 June 2026

Western Qld Flooding – Exclusion Fencing Recovery Grants

Support is now available to primary producers impacted by the Western Queensland Floods Exclusion Fencing Recovery Grant of up to $500,000 to rebuild damaged or destroyed exclusion and cluster fencing infrastructure and help contain and protect surviving livestock.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must:

  • Operate a sheep, cattle or goat grazing enterprise in an eligible LGA
  • Be a registered landholder with functional fencing at the time of the event
  • Demonstrate damage to exclusion or cluster fencing caused by the disaster
  • Comply with fencing specifications, documentation and GST registration requirements
