Farm Business Planning North Queensland

Farm Business Planning North Queensland (FBPNQ) is an initiative of the Remote Area Planning and Development Board (RAPAD), delivering the Australian and Queensland Government’s Farm Business Resilience Program across all of Northern QLD.

RAPAD has more than 30 years experience in delivering programs that benefit regional and remote business and communities, including the rural and small financial counselling services and business wellness coaching programs in North Queensland.

The FBPNQ team is dedicated to supporting North Queensland farmers in building resilience and improving farm business management through the Farm Business Resilience Program.

This initiative, funded by the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Queensland Government’s Department of Primary Industries, offers strategic resources to help agricultural businesses mitigate risks associated with drought and other climate impacts.

Managed by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries, this program is available to eligible primary producers across Queensland and is aligned with reforms in drought preparedness programs overseen by the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA).

In North Queensland, the program is delivered by numerous partners, including Farm Business Planning North Queensland. The service area includes local government areas north of and including: Barcoo, Barcaldine, Longreach, and Isaac.
