This submission is distinct from, yet intended to complement and augment, a joint submission being submitted by the Western Queensland Alliance of Councils (WQAC). The WQAC is a collaborative partnership between the three regional councils in Western Queensland – RAPAD, the North West Regional Organisation of Councils (NWQROC), and the South West Regional Organisation of Councils (SWQROC) – which collectively represent 25 councils, encompassing 60% of the state, and make a major contribution to the economies of Queensland and Australia.
