Lenice Jarling joined the RAPAD team as an Exclusion Fencing Recovery Program Officer in 2025. In this role, she supports landholders and stakeholders across the region to navigate Western Queensland flood recovery efforts through the exclusion fencing program.

Before joining RAPAD, Lenice spent more than a decade working on major infrastructure projects with the Department of Transport and Main Roads. In recent years, she has co-owned and managed the Barcaldine Post Office, multiple mail delivery contracts, and a land maintenance business alongside her husband. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for both the challenges and the opportunities of living and working in regional Queensland, as well as the importance of down-to-earth, practical solutions.

Lenice is passionate about supporting people on the land and looks forward to contributing to meaningful outcomes across the RAPAD region.

When not working, Lenice enjoys life on her hobby farm just outside Barcaldine, running, playing and coaching netball, waterskiing, and exploring the outdoors with her family.

This initiative is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), the grant supports grazing enterprises impacted by the Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and Flooding beginning 21 March 2025.
